31466 DEAMIA TESTUDO CAC PRICE: $ 2.75Does the price indicate the true rarity of this epiphytic Cactus? The easily grown "Dogtail Cactus" perfect for baskets as the ornately ribbed fat stem sections will create an impressive jumbled cascading curtain in time. But if given the chance to climb, however, this rain forest tropical becomes an agressive scandent tropical vine. Sent sometimes as very easily rooted unrooted cuttings in dry moss. If you can kill this, you deserve a distinguished medal from the International Brotherhood of the Brown Thumb.

60044 DISCHIDIA ALBIDA [HORT] ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.50 "Propeller Vine" Propeller-shaped pairs of attractive gray- green leaves on soft swollen pendant (or climbing if it can find something to twine around) stems make this a great basket subject--extremely popular twining about on open wire topiary frams. Bizarre little clusters of urn shaped blimp blossoms sometimes appear at leaf nodes. This is most effectively presented gently twining about the outlines of an open wire topiary, very cute when wraped around and around a mossed succulent wreath. Typically sent as an unrooted cutting in dry moss.

60052 DISCHIDIA CHINENSIS [HORT] ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 8.50 Similar habit to D. albida; but the fat glaucous leaves, always in pairs, are more diamond shaped. A collection from Nanning, China introduced by Plant It Herbs initially. The rubbery stems just beg to become a decorative wrap-around for your succulent wreath.

59179 DISCHIDIA SPECIES # 77111 [WAKEFIELD] ASC TGH HP PRICE: $ 5.75 Attractive vine with opposite succulent leaves closely set so that the stems gracefully bend under their accumulated weight to create attractive cascades of fleshy foliage; odd blimp blossoms like tiny urns appear in cute tight clusters. Excellent wrapped around a succulent wreath; very popular as a groundcover for Bromelliad pots or baskets. Sometimes shippped as unrooted cuttings in dry moss.

60047 DISCHIDIA FORMOSANA MAXIUM [FORMOSA #1] ASC PRICE: $ 6.50 Little rounded fleshy leaves of bright (nearly glossy) basil green on slim meandering stems, making this a natural on mossed topicary; pouchy cream blooms in tiny clusters. Smaller statured than the other species offered here... and very in demand for succulent wreaths as only forms small clinging surface roots. Most easily sent as unrooted cuttings in moss.

60661 DISCHIDIA IMBRICATA ASC HP TGH $ 17.50 SOLD OUT AT THIS TIME! Flat round turtleback formed leaf pairs grow flattened against the wall, moss pole, or even basketside the wiry slim vines root into; be sure you have the location before we send a mossed section of this odd Asclepiad. Only offered as a propagate-to-order item.

60049 DISCHIDIA MILNEI ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.75 "Rain of Coins" Stiff slim stems covered with masses of coin shaped, slightly curled rine gray leaves. Easy houseplant. Soon forms a cascading mound of coin leaves, thus the most horticulturally "attractive" of the species; although is quite willing to climb if given any support; of great value to designers of moss topiary. Usually sent as an unrooted cutting in moss.

60970 DISCHIDIA NUMMULARIFOLIA MARGINATA ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 9.25 Succulent fat green button leaves, each margined in rich ivory, are closely paired on the surface stems which shallowly root on any epiphytic mix or cork bark or treefern plaque. We have seen these growing in hanging baskets also with great effect. These "Owl Eyes" flourish in light garden conditions. Sometimes sent as mossed URC. Never try to grow in a deep pot as this is quite epiphytic.

61024 DISCHIDIA RUSCIFOLIA ASC TGH $ 8.25 Slim stiftly arching stems ranked with small fleshy trapizoidal leaves. Very cute; much admired by those who collect the smaller statured Hoyas. As with all Dischidias, this needs a perfectly drained epiphytic mix in order to thrive, soon forming an arching carpet of deep green cookie cutter foliage--a favorite understory groundcover for leggy Orchids and Bromeliads. This is sometimes sent as unrooted cuttings (they root very easily).

41748 DORSTENIA CARNULOSA MOR HP TERR PRICE: $ 5.00 Marvelous caudiform species with bowling pin trunk studded with small thick leaves and cute "open-handed" hypanthodiums. Prefers warmth, thus ideal for growing under lights. By far the least fussy, most easily grown of the fat bottomed group of Dorstenias.

60842 DORSTENIA FOETIDA MOR HP PRICE: $ 10.00 Rather curious small caudiform in the fig family. This Dorstenia has the typical shield flower and slightly fuzzy leaves. Great for a bonsai pot.

41582 DORSTENIA PSILURUS MOR HP TGH $ 45.00 "Cheshire Cat Plant" From surface succulent caudex of odd lumpy old-man-knees arise short slim stems studded with lvs ending in fleur-de-lis tridents; distinctive hypanthodium shaped like a smiling sliver tipped with cat's whiskers. The Succulent Bromeliads, the Dyckias, adapt well to Many Home Conditions!

52098 DYCKIA BREVIFOLIA YELLOW GLOW BRO HP CGH $ 18.00 Available again in the early Spring of 2013. Hummel's selection of a yellow variegated succulent mounding Bromeliad resembling a hemisphere of interlocked Agaves. Beautiful & rare, yet of easy culture demanding only very bright light and perfectly drained media.

53396 DYCKIA BURGUNDY ICE BRO HP CGH PRICE: $ 15.00 This plant has the darkest most cranberry colored overtones of any of the Dyckias we offer. Like the other Dyckias below, makes a great heavily armed indoor or windowsill subject.

52099 DYCKIA CARLSBAD BRO HP CGH PRICE: $ 18.00 Thick-leaved hybrid smaller than D. platyphylla parent; first forms an elegant very succulent rosette, then offsets to form an interlaced (spiny leaved monster) mound. Our price reflects our unwillingness to tackle the daunting creature when we need to divide offsets to share with you! But remains an excellent impressive Agave mimic in any succulent collection, a great undemanding performer on any bright windowsill--better make that a very wide windowsill.

61022 DYCKIA DAWSONII NARROW CLONE BRO TGH HP PRICE: $ 22.00 Very ornate impressively armed rosettes of slim skeletal leathery leaves closely packed forming a hemisphere in time (separating offsets can lead to permanent scars); pink flowers scattered on elegant wands. Highly recommended for any serious sado-masochistic plant collection. Petite pink flowers lining the tall wands arising above the rosette are quite attractive. Currently sold out; please INQUIRE as to eventual availability of this too popular terror.

58535 DYCKIA GRAPE JELLY BRO HP CGH PRICE: $ 9.00 Nicely formed hemispherical plants of a wild form of Dyckia that is purple in color probably closed aligned to the Burgandy Ice clone above. Nomenclature again in uncertain because of the fact that these were cloned from a superior growing plant in a private collection.

55249 DYCKIA PERUVIANA BRO HP CGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Nicely formed hemispherical plants of a wild form of Dyckia that is compact and easily grown. Nomenclature is suspect.

58534 DYCKIA SABER TOOTH BRO HP CGH PRICE: $ 9.50 Nicely formed hemispherical plants of a wild form of Dyckia that is silver in color and multiheads quickly. Nomenclature again in uncertain because of the fact that these were cloned from a superior growing plant in a private collection.

60325 ECHEVERIA BAINSEI RED CREST CRA CGH H PRICE: $ 7.25Wine red tipped paddle-shaped slim leaves in scalloped congregations atop the small statured undulating ridges of the wide-fanded stems. Odd, yet attractive winter growing "Red Cockscomb"--we've reports that this performs extremely well in lite gardens.

60300 ECHEVERIA BLACK PRINCE [HYB] CRA CGH HP PRICE: $ 6.00 Dark purple-black fleshy leaves tightly packed into compact rosettes, the deepest tones achieved with full sun. Handsome--who sez pudgy can't be pretty.

60307 ECHEVERIA MINIBELLE [HYB] CRA CGH HP $ 5.50 Thick small spindle leaves of pearly gray-green on slim fanned stems. At the present we are offering the standard form; periodically we have a crested form. Another Hummel creation (and indeed, named for his wife) with thick spindle shaped leaves bunched on short stems & large tulip-shaped bright yellow blossoms. Modest size; major performance.

60330 ECHEVERIA PUL-OLIVER [HORT] CRA CGH HP PRICE: $5.25 Stout stem, felted with oatmeal toned hairs, are studded with many succulent gray pelted leaves; an old favorite for a sunny windowsill or succulent dish garden.

60355 ECHEVERIA PULVINATA NOVA CRA HP CGH PRICE: $ 6.50 Stunning Oaxaca native with tall rosette of fleshy silvery felty fuzzy leaves (silver haired) staggered on rusty-haired stout short stems; side branches of winter flowers hued sienna and red. Only a few ready each season.

60632 ECHEVERIA RUNYONII MONSTROSUS CRA CGH PRICE: $ 12.00 Frilled rosettes of fleshy crested-edged leaves with gray glaucous pearly surfaces distinguish this as the "Topsy Turvy Plant" because the alabaster leaves look as if they are tightly packed upside down into a tight ball--like an ivory football mum! Full sun brings out the best pearly toned surface and encourages the mid-winter wands of peach toned blossoms. Looks quite complicated, yet easy to grow with adequate light.

58723 ECHEVERIA THE ROSE CRA CGH PRICE: $ 12.00 A wonderful and easily grown large sized Echeveria gibbiflora hybrid. The plant sports nacre-glossed grey lavender leaves that are stiffly flounced and ruffled, easily a rival to any of the fancier hybrids which demand far more exactingly complicated care. This looks like an upside down ball gown.

66278 ECHINOCEREUS PENTALOPHUS ERECTUS MONSTROSUS CAC TGH HP PRICE: $ 8.50 "Mexican Coral Cactus" with a preposterous latin name. Beautiful constantly dividing forking succulent stems with tiny white papery spines soon form an upright living desert coral--customers report a pale red blossom.

67329 ELAEOPHORBIA DRUPIFERA CODE PRICE: $ 18.00 "Sierra Leone Poison" Rounded trunks hold large deep green leathery leaves with keeled midribs--the sap is reported to be very poisonous. If the seed were not a drupe, this would be an Euphorb! We probably should not offer such a politically incorrect plant, but our old one threatened to become a tree and after severe pruning Ken could not bear to discard the cuttings. So here they are, rooted and ready to go.

Orchid Cactus (EPIPHYLLUM) for the 2013 SEASON

The ORCHID CACTUS can be ordered for a great beginning EPIPHYLLUM COLLECTION with Stock #99676 for five distinctive plants for only PRICE: $18.00 These are unrooted cuttings in moss. If you are unable to emotionally deal with unrooted cuttings, please do NOT order this collection. Please do not complain on the internet that your cuttings arrived unrooted--they are and will be priced as and sent unrooted.
As with Rhipsalis, these usually will be sent as URCuts if not currently established in pots. These and other true Cacti (offered herein as Erythrorhipsalis, Opuntia, Pereskia, Rhipsalis, Hatiora, Hylocerus, Lophocerus & Mammilaria, etc) all require endangered species paper work when shipped abroad--yes, even those which are tropical weeds & even those which exist nowhere as a "native species" simply because they are man made hybrids! The minds of government officials remain mysteriously irrational. Thus, we prefer not to ship any Cactus family members outside the USA borders as the paperwork can become quite expensive--and in the case of Canadian customers, so complicated as to be downright mind numbing, especially as some Canadian inspectors are convinced that plants native to the equatorial climates of the world will escape your warm home and invade the frozen climate to crowd out the Canadian natives in the icy meadowlands and tundra.
.

66253 EPIPHYLLUM BLUSH BOB CAC CGH HP PRICE: $ 4.75 Modest upright long lasting greenish white flowers gradually fade to ivory blushed violet -- easily produced on the slim stems which typically branch from the base to form a balanced habit for hanging basket not characteristic of most "Orchid Cactus" hybrids which develop what can, at best, be described as a "free form" habit.. Sent as unrooted cuttings in moss.

66227 EPIPHYLLUM BRIDAL VEIL [HYB] CAC CGH HP PRICE: $ 6.25 Irridescent pearl white flowers; in high light, the thick foliage develops a blushed edge. This hybrid will not form buds without high light and a coolish fall period.

66172 EPIPHYLLUM CARMINE QUEEN [HYB] CAC TGH HP PRICE: $ 6.00 Unusually transparent petals give extra carmine shimmer. Sent as mossed unrooted ample cuts.

66021 EPIPHYLLUM CHRYSOCARDIUM CAC HP CGH PRICE: $ 12.00 "Fernleaf Cactus" Bright glossy green flat stems in wide fish-bone pattern; nightblooming white flowers with masses of golden filaments suggest its native Mexican name, "Golden Heart." Impressive in large hanging baskets--but be reminded that this species is a long term project. We send generous unrooted cuttings in dry moss. Do not confuse this with the more easily grown, smaller statured "Rickrack Cactus" offered above as Cryptocereus anthonyanus.

66171 EPIPHYLLUM CINDY'S RED [HYB] CAC HP CGH PRICE: $ 5.75 Thick stems support very large irridescent scarlet flowers--must reach maturity before reliably blooms. Sent as a mossed unrooted cutting.

66025 EPIPHYLLUM CLARENCE WRIGHT [HYB] CAC HP CGH PRICE: $ 6.75 Large-statured hybrid with recurved petals, in shades of golden lemon to bronze, creating a bell-shaped blossom. Sent as an unrooted cutting in moss.

66024 EPIPHYLLUM CRENATUM CAC HP TGH PRICE: $12.00 Cylindrical epiphytic stems with thick midnerve develop into thick flat waxy crenate "wings" irregularly notched and moulded. Large extravagantly fragrant blossoms, red, white, & ochre with yellow stamens; this likely is the cultivar known as `Chichicastenango,' from Guatemala. Certainly one of the most interesting species, as the art noveau designs of the wildly irregularly lobed thick flat stems are highly decorative in and of themselves. Send this to a friend who loves and needs symmetry and observe them gradually go mad. Unrooted cuttings in moss are typically sent.

68174 EPIPHYLLUM GUATAMALENSIS MONSTROSA CAC CGH HP PRICE: $ 12.00 . Not only has not been observed in bloom (we find seedpods indicating that it does bloom when we are not watching), but looks as if constantly prostrated with the cares of the world even in the best of conditions. A plant for the Oddities collection. Fortunately, not hard to grow. Take a gander at the images! We send generous cuts of this miniature in moss.

66167 EPIPHYLLUM MUSKMELON CAC TGH HP PRICE: $8.00 Beautifully colored pink-salmon fading to buff flowers. (Does this scream "Cantalope" to you?) Strong statured antique hybrid of uncertain origin. Sent as mossed unrooted cuttings.

66023 EPIPHYLLUM OXYPETALUM CAC HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.00 "Night Blooming Cereus" or "Orchid Cactus" Large fragrant white flowers, rose outside, on flat waxy crenate "leaves" (actually the terminal sections of the stems) flaring out at the ends of the lower supporting stiff rounded stems. This is the one Grandma drug out to the open front porch so that every possible neighbor could be collared and brought over to the porch for those several summer nights the giant scented blossoms opened in all their unreal splendor. Maybe I've lived in a small town too long? Sent to you as generous unrooted cuttings in moss.

66032 EPIPHYLLUM PINK EMPRESS [HYB] CAC HP CGH PRICE: $6.00 Old reliable hybrid with many salmon-pink flowers on succulent tidy foliage which makes an excellent basket with time. Sent as a mossed unrooted cutting.

66193 EPIPHYLLUM SPECIES GRANADA WHITE CAC CGH HP PRICE: $ 3.75 Lovely slim deep green ribbons cascade to present the demure white winter blossoms. Very effective grown as a cascading specimen of cascading succulent ribbons like upsidedown seaweed--would never even need to bloom in order to deserve a place in any display. An excellent one to start with as a houseplant as it is native to an area without any cool autumn period, and thus does not require the cool (but not chill) fall temperatures required by most the giant flowered hybrids in order to initiate their flower buds. Cheap and easy. The ideal date. Sent as mossed unrooted cuttings.

66034 ERYTHRORHIPSALIS PILOCARPA CAC HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.25 "Rice Cactus" or "Bristle-tufted Twig-cactus" Sao Paulo native with handsome arched branches accented by tufts of fur in which also nestle the numerous pearl-like berries. Like its cousins the Rhipsalis, most successfully shipped as an unrooted cutting in dry moss.

The Various Spurges (EUPHORBIA) for the 2013 SEASON

As we enjoy an international reputation for distinctive species & hybrids of the Madagascar "Crown of Thorns" complex, and as as many are too limited in stock to list individually below, we offer you an introduction to their diversity with the CROWN OF THORNS COLLECTION under Stock #99697 for 5 plants at PRICE: $17.50. This collection can include some of the dwarf species in this group of plants, like Euphorbia francoisii to add to the diversity of this collection. This group is for the collector of oddities and visual diversities. If you want particular hybrids or species, be sure to order them individually with their stock numbers; because we gather this selection separately from the best plants available on the week they are mailed and thus the plants are completely our selections in order to maintain this dashingly low introductory price.

Or, with Stock #99024 order 10 "Why Not Spurge?" plants as the TROPICAL EUPHORBIAS COLLECTION for only PRICE: $45.00, for a range of species, odd and unusual hybrids, and possibly even including a cousin Monadenim or Synadenium. This will give an introduction to the sheer range of this most excellent genus (does not include any winter hardy temperate zone types).

67280 EUPHORBIA ANOPLIA EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Thick thornless tubercled angles on dwarf body with wide "Zipper Plant" furrowed rows. Attractive compact species, like a dusky toned "Snowflake" but with pale ochre midribs on the clustering thick ridged arms developing with maturity.

67287 EUPHORBIA BEHARENSIS EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 10.00 Smooth reddish or gray spiny stems branch to form interlocking shrubs with dusky bracted "Crown of Thorns" type cyathea--an Alluaudia mimic of Madagascar.

67514 EUPHORBIA BEHARENSIS CRANBERRY COWBOY [HYB] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 8.25 A Massara "Crown of Thorns" hybrid with E. milii bosseri producing a remarkable closely packed vase-shaped thicket of heavily spined richly toned stems studded with many very showy red-carmine cyathophylls clearly on the blue side of red (no orange): a major blossom color breakthrough! The eventual habit is also quite elegant as forms a vertical cluster of stunning stems arching outward at the apex to suggest the dimensions of a large vase. Always outstanding--plant show competition judges seem to agree.

67013 EUPHORBIA BOUGHEYI EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 7.25 Curious wavy flat stems wave and dip; effective in baskets. With maturity, a woody trunk develops from the base creating a living sculpture. Mozambique's "Ribbon Spurge" does not demand full sun, preferring broken light as the skin can scar if watered midday in scorching sun. Excellent houseplant.

67023 EUPHORBIA AMMAK VARIEGATA EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 27.50 "Ammak Euphorbia" The entire surface is overlaid a creamy rich white chocolate; splashy specimen for any speciality collection--for unclear reasons, called "Ammak" in California. We have the original name as 'Euphorbia candelabrum eritryeae variegatum.' Sometimes after an article on this appears, demand can outstrip our supply.

67014 EUPHORBIA BRACHIATA [HORT] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.75 "Mini-Pencil Cactus" Spineless beautiful, much-divided slim pencil branches creating a compact woody thicket. Also known as E. intisy. With time, this sophisticated species can achieve considerable dimensions, yet will always maintain more intricate, more intensely intersticed stems and stemlets than the open growing habit found in the similar, but big boned, E. tirucalli. We also find this much more successful than other "Pencil" types as a companion plant in combination planting designs due to a much finer and more intensely branched habit.

67078 EUPHORBIA CYLINDRIFOLIA TUBERIFERA EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 14.50 Seedlings develop wide attractive caudiform base over which grow corky-patterned stubby stems ranked with fat tiny boat leaves (terete to a fault). Develops splendidly under artificial lights; especially successful at winning shows when presented in a small low bonsai pot.

67081 EUPHORBIA DECARYII DECARYII [NOVA] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 6.00 Formerly offered as Euph.`Hummel Clone.' Both the stubby stem and the thick leaves are sugary rine-gray. Larger statured than E.d. spirosticha. Handsome in small bonsai pot.

67080 EUPHORBIA DECARYII SPIROSTICHA EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 Wonderful Madagascar native with miniature corky rine-gray spiralling stems and thick dark crinkled fleshy leaves with raised veins; cyathophylls typically soft tan, down-turned. Glorious in a small bonsai pot.

67294 EUPHORBIA DELPHINENSIS EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 10.00 SOMETIMES LIMITED AVAILABILITY Silvery muted stems gently arch to display oval distinctively deeply colored blunt rubbery leaves and modest green cyathophylls tipped red.

67031 EUPHORBIA DELPHINENSIS PRETTY IN PINK [HYB] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 10.00 Massara hybrid with large down-arched stems, cloaked with dark foliage, with weeping long-stalked flowers of rich dark pink. Slow to establish, but very distinctive habit and tone.

67427 EUPHORBIA DURANII HONKEY TONK [HYB] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Massara's much-branched slow growing hybrid with clean glacous foliage on silvery spined trunks produces apricot "Crown-of-Thorns" flowers flecked with tones of adobe orange. Very impressive for amount of blossoms produced throughout the seasons and for ability to withstand somewhat exposed conditions.

67088 EUPHORBIA FLANAGANII CRISTATA--ARM CREST EUP HP TGH $ 15.00 "Green Coral Plant" Deep green grooved fans of succulent stems form irregularly hemispherical clusters. Often throws a small "Medusa Head" arm to reveal its origins. Always popular with succulent fanciers as it gradually tumbles over the edges of a small pot; now also popular with dish garden , terrarium, and lite gardeners as well because the compact reduced habit with the wildly crested green coral like cockscombs of tostled foliage lends itself to many staring roles.

67089 EUPHORBIA FLANAGANII CRISTATA--BODY CREST EUP PRICE: $ 50.00 "Smiling Spurge" The central caudex is fasciated; odd thick ever increasing crest eventually swells into unpredictable crescents & loops. This is not available on a regular basis. It is hard to propagate. Best to check before ordering. If you do order, we will let you know before we charge your credit card whether it can be shipped right away.

61002 EUPHORBIA GEROLDII EUP HP TGH CGH PRICE: $ 8.75 "Everblooming Spurge" Elegant upright branching stems are cloaked with dark toned rubbery leaves perfectly framing the rich red cyathophylls (the "blossoms") which are produced with full light, even warmth, and good fertilizer. Looks like (and behaves like) a friendly thornless/spineless "Crown of Thorns" which does not require the light or humidity strictures of most succulents. An excellent, if much overlooked, performer, easily bloomed.

67127 EUPHORBIA KNUTHII EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.50 Very attractive gnarled caudex toped with a skirt of angled cascading stems with gray-green central stripes. Very easy to grow. Beautifully display this undemanding succulent in an oval bonsai pot so you can win best of show. An excellent introduction to the world of caudex plants.

67133 EUPHORBIA LEUCONEURAEUP HP TGH TER PRICE: $ 5.75 "Madagascar Jewel" Beautiful fleshy foliage veined in decorative silver loops in juvenile stages, presented in flat rosette tops over central club-like trunks ridged in sienna tufts. So tolerant it will even flourish in the humidity of a terrarium. Mature plants typically lack the distinctive leaf veins. Check before ordering for availability can be an issue as this is often profiled on succulent plant blogs.

67145 EUPHORBIA MAMMILARIS VARIEGATA EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 'Variegated Indian Pipe.' This is remarkably colored as if covered in white chocolate, the thickened trunk branches well to create a focal point in any house plant collection--give very bright light and perfect drainage. Available again in summer of 2012.

Crown of ThornsCrown of ThornsCrown of ThornsCrown of ThornsCrown of ThornsCrown of Thorns

67197 EUPHORBIA MILII BING CHERRY [HYB] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $4.75 Vigorous upright habit, well armed, producing great numbers of pink glossy blossoms with red designs throughout. Nearly everblooming Frieling creation quite similar to 'Red Shoes.' (Best leave this arena to the Freudians.)

67187 EUPHORBIA MILII BOSSERI CREST [HYB] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 25.00Stunning fanned stems with occassional reversions producing rosy red cyathophylls. Becomes increassingly amazing with age as the wide cockscombed (fasciated) stems develop elaborate fluted coral outlines. Seems to be the most ordered of any of our "Succulent Spurge" offerings for several seasons now! Do not discard any "reversions" as they usually develop a fasciation in time.

While this Massara creation's habit may be disconcerting to some, it does lend itself admirably to forming a skirt when planted with a more upright type.

67755 EUPHORBIA MILII DEAD MILKMEN [HYB] EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 7.00 Slim spiny trunks with dusky pink to buff apricot flowers. Makes a great punk succulent bonsai. Blame Kip Traughber for the name. Both the "Crown of Thorns" and Kip remain reprobates.

66791 EUPHORBIA MILII THAI GIANT HYBRIDS EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 The remarkable "Thai Giant Crown of Thorns" do have clonal names--but these will be offered without as we've only a few of each color. Giant leaves are matched by the quarter sized flower bracts (cyathophylls)--easy houseplant; monster effect! We have white, red, orange, yellow, spotted and pink in rotation. You can suggest the color range you would prefer to receive--however, we prefer to send you the best looking one at the time we mail your order.
We have various colors from time to time of the giant Thai Crowns. Inquire. We always have either red or pink. Check above.

Substantial heavy erect stems, ridged with spines, with large rubbery creamy white leaves flamed basil green (vigorous lophogona-like habit) with clusters of four bright coral red flowers (cyathophylls). 67907 EUPHORBIA MORATII X LOPHOGONA X MILII EUP TGH PRICE: $ 12.00 Pastel olive toned leaves richly striated on low branching stems with slight spination along the gyring ridges; depending on light saturation, the cyathophylls are rose to pink with green undertones. Probably of more botanic than horticultural interest.

Most handsome; these are cuttings, thus with hi-colors, just in the first phase of forming a caudex which it will continue to do with relative dispatch. Our ancient stock plant has shown no actual dormancy cycle in the twenty years of its tenure in the stock house, residing quite close to the heater.

67430 EUPHORBIA POLYGONA SNOWFLAKE EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 17.50 A great looking clustering (slowly clustering) example of convergense evolution. This looks like a white cactus, but is really an African plant in the Euphorbia group! The plant in the pictures is begin finally divided and individual plants are ready. This is a beauty. If you have a bright window and some time, this is what you could end up with! Currently sold out; please inquire.

67450 EUPHORBIA ROBIVELONAE [HORT] EUP GH PRICE: $ 10.00 Upright rubbery pencil stems studded by thickly spaced succulent rubbery lance leaves. Like a mini wide spreading version of the wonderful E. geroldii. Original plant from Out of Africa nursery.

67322 EUPHORBIA SUZANNAE EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 6.50 Fat club like branching stems lined with knobby toothed ridges. Very odd but appealing Euphorbia species. Similar in growth habit and cultural needs to the Euphorbia obesa. They take the same care in fact.

67264 EUPHORBIA TIRUCALLI EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 6.00 "Pencil Cactus" or "Milk Bush" Narrow rounded much-forked stems rapidly grow to form a tree. Used in Tanzania to cure sexual impotence and as a mosquito repellent. (We will not refund for this if, after a year, your child support payments increase dramatically.) Very toxic sap--be sure never to get any sap near your eyes. Still one of the best for a long time specimen houseplant in a sunny window free of children--we know of several situated in low humidity professional offices with little care (but next to a big southern window) that have become magnificent plants over the years.

67470 EUPHORBIA TIRUCALII ROSEA EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 10.00 Remarkable pinkish bronze "Pencil Cactus" stems with darker cocoa red surface lines. Very rich color if given excellent light and heat. 67758 EUPHORBIA TIRUCALLI STICKS ON FIRE EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.50 Remarkable coppery toned new growth--dramatic "Fire Sticks" gives that special extra effect. 67106 EUPHORBIA TRIGONA RED LEAF EUP PRICE: $ 12.00 "Red Milk Bush" Easily grown cultivar of this upright three sided trunked, side branching basic, but with the added attraction of beautiful red foliage when grown in bright light. The entire stem also turns purplish-red in high light. Easily grown as a house plant.

66795 EUPHORBIA TRIGONA VARIEGATA EUP PRICE: $ 17.50 "Creamy Indian Milk Tree" This is not very common. We are rooting plants of this new item and hope to have it availble this Fall. Order for future delivery. We will announce when these are ready for shipment. The erect 3 or 4 angled succulent stems are streaked with cream, as are the deciduous leaves. We are quite pleased with this new introduction.

67273 EUPHORBIA XYLOPHYLLOIDES EUP HP TGH PRICE: $ 12.500 Flattened moulded branches of dull-gloss apple-green form remarkable designs. Central Madagascar native becoming a tree in time.

67274 EUPHORBIA XYLOPHYLLOIDES STRIATA EUP TGH PRICE: $ 20.00 "Christmas Ribbons" Deep green striation on the bright ochre flattened stems; rare selection of this Madagascar native. We had not propagated this rariety from the Hummel collection for 15 years or so--it remains of special interest to the collector of rare unique variegation.
